Call for research students on endocrinology and obesity-related metabolic diseases in dogs and cats
We are looking for a student in the Amirim program / M.Sc. student / Ph.D. student, for research in the field of endocrinology and metabolic diseases related to obesity in dogs and cats. The study will include clinical trials in various diseases: including fatty liver in cats, hypothyroidism in dogs, and diabetes in dogs and cats. The aim of the study is to evaluate the presence of metabolic changes, including changes in the secretion of hormones secreted from adipose tissue (adipokines), their role in the pathogenesis of the disease, and its potential use in its treatment. In the study, we will use primary adipose tissue culture, and examine the use of liver tissue organoids.
The study will be conducted under the supervision of Dr. Michal Mazaki-Tovi of the School of Veterinary Medicine.

PhD Position in the Development of the Nervous System
We are recruiting an ambitious and passionate PhD student, to join a vivid and friendly lab in the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Faculty of Agriculture.
The project will focus on neural stem cells in the developing hindbrain of chick and mouse embryos, and will include cutting edge technologies in development and cell biology, imaging, computation and omics.
